Q: I am not too technical – I am a lawyer after all. Is Law Files Online designed for lawyers?
A: Law Files Online is founded by a lawyer and a computer engineer. We understand that lawyers have more on their plate than to worry about and spend time on setting up and running a computer network and document management system. This is why LFO was founded – to relieve lawyers from the technical aspect of running a law firm. Anthony ensures that LFO never gets too technical when talking to lawyers, but Eric is there to ensure that what LFO promises technically it delivers.
Q: What software do I need to set up Law Files Online?
A: Nothing in addition to your normal word processing software. All you need is Internet access. LFO works on Windows and Macintosh computers.
Q: How do I move my current files to the new system?
A: As part of the set-up and training offered, LFO will migrate all of your current files to the new platform.
Q: Does it work on my Blackberry, iPhone or iPad?
A: Yes. Clients can access and view their documents just as if they were using their desktop computers. This is handy when you are at court and need to provide the judge with information from pleading that is back in the office.
Q: Is there 24/7 service available?
A: Yes. All service issues are handled by LFO staff. Service is not outsourced.
Q: Is it secure?
A: Yes. LFO has partnered up with Microsoft to offer this service. All connections through the Internet are secure. In addition, Microsoft provides continuous intrusion monitoring. Every person accessing your site has a unique login name and password.
